TiVo this week announced plans to convert its Season Pass system—which organizes recordings that are part of season—into "OnePass," which automatically pulls in missing episodes from streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, Vudu, or Comcast Video On Demand.

So say you want to make sure you've got every episode of Doctor Who loaded onto your TiVo, but didn't start recording until somewhere in Season 3. The OnePass will seek out and find the missing episodes to make sure you have a full collection, even the Eccleston year.

Users can also decide which season(s) they want their TiVo to start collecting, which comes in handy for recording shows that've been on the air forever, like Sesame Street or Saturday Night Live.

The interface is dead simple, too. Just punch in the show's name, and your TiVo does the rest. The free OnePass update is set to hit Roamio and Mini devices this February.
