Philips has gotten in on the press day action here at CES 2014 with its announcement of the UltraClear Display early this morning.
This high-end, 28-inch monitor brings 4K UHD technology to the power user who doesn't want to miss any details. With high resolution and a color depth of 1.07 billion colors, the UltraClear promises to bring superior clarity for work and for play.
The UltraClear has a multitude of ports for connecting just about anything: HDMI, DisplayPort, Dual-link DVI and VGA SmartConnect, USB 3.0, and MHL. With a compatible phone or tablet, a user can easily mirror content from their mobile device directly to the monitor.
The UltraClear also features SmartErgoBase, which is a highly-adjustable base to ensure that users of all heights can get the most comfortable viewing angle possible.
The Philips UltraClear Display will be available in Spring 2014 for an MSRP of $1,199.99.
Philips is also bringing Android-powered TVs to market. Aiming to make smart TVs even smarter, Android will deepen Philips' current TV app offerings while also providing faster response times, a powerful gaming platform, and streamlined connection with Android-enabled mobile devices.
There is no word yet of when we'll be seeing these Android TVs in the United States, but they will be available in Europe and Russia in the second quarter of 2014.
