We recently reviewed the 50-inch Sony Bravia KDL-50R550A and while we found it was heavy on attractive features such as built-in WiFi and a smart platform, it lacked the picture to back it up. With a poor contrast ratio, this TV isn't going to light up the screen, but now that it's available for under $1,000 with free ground shipping, it might be worth checking out.
