The 2017 Amazon Fire TV is faster than its predecessor and offers full support for 4K and HDR content. Like other streaming devices, it has access to your usual streaming apps but has a bigger focus on Prime Video content. Typically, the Fire TV goes for $69.99 on Amazon, but right now it’s on sale for $49.99 and the lowest price we’ve ever seen.
Although we named the Roku Ultra as our best streaming device, Fire TV has additional features that you might want to opt for. The Fire TV remote has Alexa voice assistant built in, which allows you to ask Alexa time find a show or to order pizza during your next movie night. If you have an Echo, you can use it to control the Fire TV as well.
If you don’t want to shell out $50 for a streaming device, Amazon is also selling its Fire TV Stick on sale for $29.99 with $10 in savings. The Fire TV Stick doesn’t offer 4K Ultra HD, it still has an Alexa Voice Remote and is a good option if you’re not using it for your main TV.
