Another 4K Contender

With more and more manufacturers announcing 4K Ultra HD TVs, Chinese manufacturer TCL is looking to make a splash this September with the 7E504D: a 50-inch edge-lit LED 4K Ultra HDTV for $999.

Until now, the cheapest way to get 4K content was to purchase Seiki’s no-frills, 50-inch UHDTV for $1,500. Like Seiki, TCL is trying to establish its brand name in the US by releasing products with impressive specs at aggressive prices.

TCL is also launching its 5510 series, including a 40-inch HDTV (LE40FHDE5510) for $399, a 46-inch HDTV (LE46FHDE5510) for $499, and a 55-inch HD smart TV (LE55FHDE5510C) for $799, all available in August.
