About the Samsung UN40KU7000FXZA

The 40-inch KU7000 (Samsung UN40KU7000) is a 4K/UHD smart TV that's HDR compatible and wholly modern in its design. While we didn't test the 40-inch specifically, it's fair to expect that almost all aspects of performance and design discussed in the review still apply.

About the Samsung UN65KU7000FXZA

Samsung's KU7000 series is a very solid choice if you're looking for quality 4K/UHD that will also allow you to consume HDR10 content.

While it's not the best pick for super-impressive HDR, testing revealed very reliable performance per the rec.709 standards, including respectable performance in the uncalibrated, out-of-the-box Movie picture mode.

The 55-inch KU7000 we tested exhibited good color accuracy, and an acceptable amount of grayscale error that would only bother very picky viewers used to calibrated sets.
