Introduction

The Panasonic TC-P55ST50 ($1699 MSRP) is a large plasma screen TV, displaying 1080p HD images with 3D and internet connectivity, that is supposed to be an improvement on last year's ST30 model. The improvements that Panasonic purports are better 3D images and 2500 Focused Field Drive, a clever new technology that should effectively increase the refresh rate of the screen to about 2500Hz.

We tested this TV, going through all of it's many features inside, from Smart TV offerings to the picture performance, and found that we got less than what we expected.
