Is it dance party time or quiet hangout time? Regardless, you could benefit from the addition of some aptly-timed music. To fill the void of silence, there are a number of home theater systems and speakers that you could use depending on your budget and how picky you are about your music.

Below you can find some of our best bets for speakers, sound bars, and other devices that can enhance the mood in your living room or bedroom. The discounts on these items will help you save some money, leaving room for something else you'll enjoy.

Pinnacle Microburst Home Theater System

The biggest discount on this list is for the Pinnacle home theater system, which goes from being about $1,000 to just $349 with free shipping. We haven't yet reviewed this system, but the product description states that it gives the user a full "movie theater experience." The bundle comes with two satellite speakers, an LCR speaker bar, a 6.5-inch powered subwoofer, and a base for tabletop mounting. It's the system for the customer who wants the full package in terms of audio. The true audiophile will find no problem paying more for the best quality.

The Sound Step Recharge Wireless Speaker

Sometimes though, you don't need the full package. Sometimes you just need an easy-to-use speaker that can play your music from your player. Stacksocial has this Sound Step wireless speaker on sale for $104. It uses Bluetooth technology to connect with your smartphone, tablet, or other enabled device, and can play for six hours off the charger. It also has a dock, inputs, and an FM tuner for other music options. The deal expires on September 5, so you have some time to make a purchasing decision.

Sceptre Sound Bar with Built-In Subwoofer

If you want the good sound without having to shell out hundreds of dollars for an entire home theater system, you can just by the pieces. There's the speaker above and now this sound bar with built-in subwoofer–basically giving you two products for the price of one. Newegg is currently selling this device for $69 with free two-day shipping. We can't confirm this product's quality nor can we rely on customer reviews on Newegg (because there aren't any), but you can do your own research if you're interested. If this isn't the sound bar for you, you can also check out this LG 47-inch sound bar and subwoofer combo at Amazon for $249 with free shipping.

Sony Blu-ray Disc Player

For both movies and music you can use a Blu-ray player like this Sony model on sale at J&R for $88 with free shipping. This comes after a $30 instant rebate, which runs until August 24. It's inexpensive and versatile for many forms of entertainment, especially thanks to the built-in WiFi that you can use to stream from Sony's smart platform and control it with your smartphone.

SteelSeries Flux Gaming Headset

While this isn't an audiophile's dream headset, it can serve multiple purposes. These SteelSeries cans weren't built with music in mind, but they're okay if you just want a headset that you can use for gaming, listening, and even taking calls without breaking the bank. It's on sale at Amazon for $46 with free shipping, making it a good value for gamers.
